By inspecting these examples, the following properties of a Normal distribution can be observed:

A Normal distribution has only one mode which occurs when x = μ. Thus, the mean and the mode of a Normal distribution are identical.
A Normal distribution is symmetric about its mode. Therefore, the median, the mean and the mode of a Normal distribution are identical.
The mean (μ) of a Normal distribution determines its location. For example, the Normal distribution with a mean of 10 is lying on the right hand side of the Normal distribution with a mean of 0 but the same standard deviation.
The standard deviation (σ) of a Normal distribution determines its dispersion. The skinnier the curve, the less disperse it is.
